Self diagnostic unit question 200

The '89 wagon is running okay but I decided to have a look at the self-diagnostic unit just to familiarize myself with it. I ran the procedures according to Bentley.
I did the ignition system checks first. No codes were stored and I got the correct response for the other couple of tests described.
I moved on the to the fuel injection tests. Once again no codes were stored. So I went on to ECU input tests. The additional tests got the correct codes until I got to the AC test. The engine was running and I turned the AC switch on. According to Bentley, if no problem is occuring I should have seen code 1-1-4. I got 1-3-4. I figure I should get either the correct code or the LED should continue to flash rapidly, indicating a problem. Is this another Bentley misprint? They give 1-3-4 as the correct display for LH 3.1 but mine is 2.4.
I also did the ECU output tests and got strange results but I just now realized I was doing it wrong. The book says 'ignition on' and, like an idiot, I still had the engine running. I'll check that again later.

Self diagnostic unit question 200

You're correct: check with engine off but key on. No fault code for LH2.4 is 1-1-1 More Info here:
