??junk yard prices...heads and intakes??? 200

does anybody have any idea how much i should expext to pay for a 16v head, 405 head, intake mani, and exhaust mani form a junkyard? I dont feel like getting ripped by a bunch of hillbillys. last time i went up there i pulled a fuel distributer and the guy looks at it and goes "10 bucks.......so what is it anyway?" . if i can get some reasonable price quotes form u guys i'll know if i'm better off gettin em from my local machanic's parts barn or pull'n em form the yard.

    Yeah, $50 here. But the trick with a 16V is to make sure the timing belts are intact and it has not overheated, i. e. buy it from a pick and pull that offers a refund for a warped head. Make sure the car has been hit and that is the reason it is in the yard, LOL. Timing belts or overheating are very likely the problem with those damned 16V.

    Labor is expensive so pic and pulls tend to be much cheaper. I paid $43 at a pic and pull for a 16V head. same head at a full service would probably be over 200.
