Hello folks,

I found 3" of water in the 88 760 after a healthy rain this week. It seems that the rear roof drains were plugged with the styrofoam gasket from the sunroof pan. As I was removing the headliner for replacement, I found what appears to be a vacuum line coming up from the passenger door center post and going somewhere in the overhead. I could not find anytype of connectiopn for it.

Does someone know what it might be?

You sent me that file sometime back. I had forgotten. Much thanks though!

john r. makes sense, and I looked at the light to see if there was a connection of sorts. It looks like it was just taped up. THe end was plugged with so much goo that it could not have been working.

I have never had the dome light off an '88 760, but maybe the vacuum hose connects to the air temperature sensor located in the lamp assembly? The vacuum draws air across the sensor so it reads the cabin's temperature. John R.
