Valvoline Maxlife ATF S90-V90

Does anyone in this forum have any experience of using Valvoline Maxlife ATF in these AW30-43 transmissions with high mileage.
I have a feeling that specially in hot weather there is too much "slippage" when accelerating and Valvoline advertises that Maxlife just "eliminates slippage and shudder".
I have now Mobil's mineral oil base ATF there and maybe just changing to synthetic Mobil SHC would help in this.

960 has a very high stall speed torque converter. 2700 RPM!!! A lot of slippage is perfectly normal for this trasmission. If there was any mechanical slippage in the trasmission it would set a fault code and the up arrow would flash in the dash. Just use regular ATF or synthetic. Fresh ATF is always apreciated by any trasmission.

I have the Mobil 1 in my car and the tranny shifts very smoth now. I wouldn't fool around with anything else. I bought some cheap regular oil and used it to flush out the system. Put it in and then changed it after a few days. You should do it twice. Then use the push out method as described.

Go with the Mobile synthetic, it's the best, bar none.

With absolutely no disrespect to Poolman or anyone else who likes synthetics, I personally use non-synthetics. They're adequate and to me adequate is good. Never mind Maxilfe. What they're doing is putting in a little 'transmedic'. Use some quality brand name non-synthetic. Change out the screen ('kit' for $25 at fcpgroton.com) and clean the pan. Then change the 3.25-3.5 quarts that drain by simply pulling the plug the next few times your down under there doing the oil.
That'll give you an 80-90% new fluid composition.
Cheaper than a professional flush. Easier than a self flush. And no worry about the real or mythical "slippage after a new fluid flush"

I agree with analyzer regarding synthetics. I changed the ATF in my V90 twice since November 04 with simply draining and refilling the 3.5 quarts that come out when the plug is removed. I used SuperTech ATF from WalMart which I believe to be Mobil dino ATF. Car tranny shifts with the precision of a Breitland watch.
I say forget the Maxlife ATF and get any name brand or Walmart brand DexronIII/Mercon ATF and change with your oil changes the next 3-4 times.
