Hello all,
I just bought a Florida 1989 240 DL blue in color, four door.
Question;
"I was wondering if the 1989 240 came in a diesel engine as well as gas"?

The woman left little in the ad on the auction site and the car won’t be in Ohio for a while. I was just thinking about the fuel today.

Any help would be great!!

In some Europe markets, they made Diesel 240s into the '90s. Not in the US though. I believe '84 was the last year of the Diesel 240 in America.

I hope you didn't pay much for a car you bought with little info on. Knowing the way these things rust away, I certainly would at least look at the car before considering a purchase.

The last year for diesel'ed 240s here in Scandinavia was 1985. I doubt that they kept it on for other markets, but I have no real info on that.
(I was thinking along the lines of private import car.)

K- long time. No Diesel in N. America that late. Not since the early 80's.
