I just would really like to know if a 3-speed auto tranny out of and 1982 245 will bolt right into a auto 3-speed 1980 coupe, converted to a B21, without any other mods; as my tranny is 100% shot...
Is this an AW55 or a BW55 and are they all the same? Would a AW70 or AW70L bolt right up without any drivline or flywheel mods?
I would really appreciate any advice and help that anyone could give me. You know what the deal is with the Volvo 262; Nobody seems to want to have anything to do with it and thus I can't seem to get any info on what can put into it with minumum effort and time and money to get it back on the road.
I bought it on the West Coast and it has no rust and is a beautiful car.

AW & BW 55 are for all intents and puropses, the same thing.

To do an AW70/71 into an '80 chassis, you will need to use the driveshaft from an AW70 car. BUT, the '80 chassis doesn't have holes to mount the crossmember in the proper place, you'll have to wing that.
