245 K-Jet idle woes 444-544

81 245 California with K-Jet. Been idling at correct speed although rough. Suddenly she wants to idle at 2000 RPM. WTF? Pardon my language but what is up? What I need help with is most probable cause. Is it the IAC motor failure? Or the black Idle computer at passenger kick panel? Any help here to help me decide where to look first, please.

Scott, although I think you should be posting under the 240's section I really think that you have a vacuum leak, maybe just a cracked hose. Had exactly the same problem with a Geo Tracker, found the cracked hose and eventually replaced all the lines, ran great after that. Good luck. Blue544
