volvo 780 1989 turbo headgasket set..explain gaskets 700

I am redoing my headgasket and the kit came with some gaskets that look unfamiliar to me..a large black gasket about 2 1/4 diameter...I guess its the
distributor. I am not rebuilding the head at this time but have a lot of other black rubber parts..look like fuel injector seals? in the kit..can someone please enumerate what they are..so I can label them and put them away..thanks in advance...Jeffrey...also..do you out the exhaust gaskets on with metallic side out..thanks....Jeffrey

Your large black gasket is probably the oil fill cap gasket. You will probably have a few small gaskets that do not apply to your engine and you will have not only fuel injector seals but you will have valve seals and valves silencers too. You really need a picture to identifiy this suff.

Don't know what every gasket is for but many HG sets contain gaskets and seals for different fuel systems like CIS,etc.
I do know the exhaust gaskets are metal side out as the manifold expands and contracts more than the head. The head on the other hand has internal coolant flow hence composite material would face the cooler surface.
