740 WIRING DIAGRAM FOR AIR CONDITIONING 700

Hi Peter,
I asked the same question about 4 days ago and received only one response about getting one from Volvo.

I went to www.alldata.com and signed up for a year subscription for $25. They have a ton of info and wiring diagrams.

I have kinda become an AC expert on the 740 over the last 5 days. I've had to start at the compressor and work my way back one wire at a time. I've checked the pressure switches and fan relays and everything back to the MCC control unit. I have a bad MCC unit on mine but I'm trying the fix that is listed in the 740/940 FAQ. It seems the solder joints around the relay (which is built into the MCC unit) are know to be an issue. For the time being I've wired around it I'll share it with you if you want). The only problem with wiring around it is that I'm not sending a signal to the ECU telling it the air is on and thus not speeding the engine up when the compressor comes on. I did leave all the pressure switches in the circuit though. If you have any questions I'll be happy to try to help you. I'm new to the 700 series cars but very familar with the 140 and 200 series cars.

Good luck,
Tony T
