Rear axle identification of 1990 740 Turbo - No plastic tag. 700 1990

I need to replace the pinion seal on the wife's 740 Turbo. Been leaking for a while. I understand the torque differences between the two different axle styles, but I can identify which one I have. The plastic tag which holds the secrete is gone. Any ideas how to identify if it has a crush spacer or not?

I couldn't find any ID on my axle, either, but I used the part number cast onto the rear cover to identify the axle type from the parts list (I have a set of part no. microfiches).

My casting number is 1023597 and cover number is 1023610.
