BOX BUSHING: What is it and where is it located? 200 1993

I was told at the mechanics that i have a broken box bushing. They said it might make some noise but would not be dangerous if i didnt get it fixed. What exactly is it and where is it located? thanks

Transmission (gearbox) mount perhaps? Definitely need better description before you authorize a repair...

Center support bearing's rubber bushing??

Located on driveshaft behind tranny.
Bearing is just forward of the 2nd of 3 U-joints.
Rubber bushing surrounds + supports the bearing.
Whines, hums or ticks (uncommon, but mine did) when it goes bad.

Make him describe it, see if it matches the above.

Never heard of such a thing. Either you misunderstood them, or they are pulling
a fast one.Kind of like replacing a bad muffler bearing or going to the store for a board stretcher, they don't exist.

Hmmm? Reminds me of my first job in the grocery store when I was sent to the manager to find the "frozen steam"!
