B234 head on a B230FT block 200

I went to a local Dyno shop today to tweak out the last Gremlins in my 2000 Mitsu Eclipse 2.4L with a T3 A/R60 Turbo running 9.2PSI. The outcome was downright awsome at 200 to 205HP calculated at the crank. I got to talking with the shop owner about the 92 245 I'm building with a B230FT. He asked if I was planning on running a SOHC or a DOHC head... when I explained that I was planning on running a "almost stock" SOHC B230 head he laughed a little bit and commented that I should install a slightly modified B234 DOHC head for better performance.

Has anyone else done this? I'm asking the question as he couldn't explain how in the heck I had darn near doubled the factory HP at 9.2PSI on the Eclipse! Needless to say, he didn't have intimate knowledge of all the changes I had made to the car (what I consider "trade secrets").

In short, has anyone out there ever stuffed a B234 Head on a B230F/B230FT bottom end?

Thanks,

Jorrell
