960-- 92 to 97 engine swap questions 900

Block problems bring me to putting a 97 engine in the 92 964. A few obvious differences in sensor and vacuum connections and the 92 wiring harness has to be used. (97 is so much cleaner in layout--too bad.)

The questions: Coils have different part number, should 97 work with 92 ignition? How about the injectors? Fuel pressure regulator? I guess they will interchange but would like to hear the voice of experience.

I'm assuming the extra fitting on the head running to the pass side is for AIR system and can be plugged.

Any reason to go back to the 92 style oil cooler and filter setup? I suppose Volvo thinks the newer design is better. Was it, or was it just easier and cheaper?

While I'm in there, is there a good way to check the motor mounts? They look solid and seem fine but I've heard the hydraulic mounts go bad and I'd rather change them now than later.

Finally, I'm going to change the tranny lockup solenoid while I'm under it and am wondering where I can get the synthetic ATF. I know, Amway, but I don't want to get on their "list". I don't need cleaning products.... Mobil make it? Who stocks it?

Thanks!
