960 runs on 4 cylinders under 2k rpm 900 1994

I own a '94 960 with 180K miles. The engine runs on 4 cylinders at rpm's under 2K. Above that she runs on all 6 cylinders. No codes are visible. What could be causing this problem? Thank you in advance for your help.
