I posted about this a while ago, but I have a 760GLE PRV-6 that decided to blow a head gasket.
RWAG.
bought in febuary, it never really ran properly, took a new distributor, and blew it's head gasket off in march or april.
I'd like to either get the damn thing running or get rid of it.
now, my options as stands are:
get a rear-ended 740/760T parts car, and swop in the engine, and keep the car.
do a quick head job and sell the thing before it decides to need timing chains in 70k km.
the car currently has 150,000km on it, and is in excellent shape, perfect interior except for the drooping headliner characteristic of the 700 series.
anyway, now that I have time to do something, if not money, I want to get something done to it.
I realize that a head job on the PRV-6 is a royal pain in the arse because of the wet sleeved block, so I don't know what would be best in this situation.
ANYHOO, I'd appreciate any info on this matter -- if you have a busted up but running 740T, or any parts that may help me, let me know -- I'm in southwestern British Columbia near vancouver, and would like to get my poor car running :(
