Hello,
After my car sat for about 6 months my temp guage wasn't working. It just remained pinned. I took apart the instrument panel and blew on the needle to unstick it, if it was stuck. I reassembled the guages. Then, I bridged the connections on the temp sensor wire to shoot the needle to "HOT!" for a moment. I then started the car. Now, my temp guage does seem to work but the needle vibrates or fluctuates (maybe 1mm either way) constantly as the temp is going up. I haven't seen what it does once it reaches a constant running temp, however. Is this normal? What could be the problem?
