Hey guys,
My ac hasn't worked all summer and now near the end of the season I've decided to have a crack at it. (Yeah I know, good timing) This is what's happening. If the temp outside is around 70 degrees it blows some cool air out of the vents (not very cool) but as soon as the temp rises, 80+ degrees I'm better off opening the windows. At idle the compressor cycles on for about 2 seconds, shuts down for about 4 seconds. The short section of line that houses the orifice tube gets really cold and sweats but the receiver/drier is warm with no sweating at all.
About three years ago I replaced the compressor, receiver/drier, orifice tube and it worked great for about 2 summers.
Thanks for any help.
