Keep blowing fuse!!! 200 1988

I was doing some wrenching this weekend, and was trying to diagnose why my backup lights/rear window defroster didnt work. Well come to find out they're on the same fuse and it was blown!! I replaced it, and turned the car on to sample my handywork, and within seconds it blew again. I went through a few fuses, and walked away unsatisfied.

What could be causing this? Is there a common reason for this fuse blowing? The obvious reason would be that something was grounding out, however I dont know where to start.
