How do I remove the distributor? 200

I am working on my brothers '86 240DL wagon, I believe that I have traced the sudden ignition failure to the pick up coil on the distributor, the only problem is that I can't get it out of the car. I removed the bolt on the engine side of the distributor that seems to hold it down to the block, but as hard as I pull I cannot get it out. So, how am I suppose to remove the distributor?
