Rear suspension torque rod bushings bad after only 22,000 miles....what gives? 200 1985

Last summer I replaced all of the rear suspension bushings, springs and shocks on my 85 wagon. I've also replaced the engine mounts, trans mount, u joints and the center support in the recent past.
Lately, I've felt some looseness in the rear end. It feels like something is shifting in the rear when I'm brakeing and then will settle once I take some pressure off the brake pedal.
I checked all of the rear end bolts over the weekend but didn't really see any problems. Last night though I raised one rear wheel and with the trans in neutral I moved the wheel back and fourth. When I did this, I could see that the whole differential would shift at the top. I reached up and grabbed the torque rods while moving the wheel back and fourth and they felt like they were loose. The felt like the bushings were already worn out.
I'm not sure of the brand. I get my parts from a Volvo only supplier and he usually gets some decent brands.I think some of the other bushings were Moog.
Has anyone run into this before?
Are there certain brands that are weak/cheap?
Does FCP have good bushings?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
