Hello Brickboarders!
With todays gas prices, I have been thinking about what options there are to improve fuel milage for a '70 164. Has anyone tried to retrofit a AW70 or 71 auto trans to a B20 or B30 engine? What would it take? I can see from the 164 parts manual that the bellhousing can be removed from the BW 35; would it bolt up to a AW trans? Any thoughts, photos, ideas, input, etc. is welcome.
