So there I was, crusing down the freeway, steady 70mph. Next thing I know I am heading for the shoulder due to total loss of power. I had 1/2 tank of gas and the electrics were still working ok but no power from the motor. Once on the shoulder and after a few tries the car fired up, although it would not pull more than 2000rpm in Park/neutral and would not idle very well. After a few more attempts the motor fired up ok and I was able to carry on home.
This hapened 3 months ago too ( same symptoms and same outcome ) and, like then I could find nothing wrong (no check engine light, no falt codes) no obvious loose or broken hoses.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
Additional Info.
Air and fuel filter alrady replaced this year as were the water pump, head gasket, exhaust + inlet manifold gaskets and 3 of the turbo hoses. using 91 Octaine gas (not ARCO)
