Hello Board

I am a regular on the 140-160 board but I have a question about a 262C. I am looking at an '80 262C that has a superb body on it, but as usual the interior is shot and it needs a new engine. I am not worried about the interior because I do upholstery work and that is the eay part of the fix for me. As far as the engine goes, would you suggest rebuilding it or converting it to a Chevy V8? If I do convert it, does the tranny need to be converted too? Is this a ton of work? Just hate to pass on this Bertone because the body is a straight, rust free one and doesn't even need to be repainted. Do you think $600 is a good deal? Thanks in advance
