PRE-IGNITION OR DETONATION will do it.

Certainly not from running at Peak EGT, unless it causes PRE-IGNITION OR DETONATION and focalizes a hotspot.

There are a lot of myths and misinformation, based on lack of information, or half baked education.

I verified my theory about EGT with a Wrench who is presently working on a Red Lambourghini Diablo. His reply, "She'll be right, mate." In fact, he works on all the top and very expensive marques at that dealership.

I always try to research my information and pass on the best information I can, before submitting. I just don't pull it out of my ass. If I don't know, I don't guess, spectulate, and won't reply to postings I have no experience with or specific knowledge about. Many here tend to pass on a lot of bullshit . . . such as the one espousing mixing tap water with coolant for use in an aloy head, or the one oppugning me for making up my own Engine Wiring Harness, which I will bet my life on is superior to the Volvo Factory Original.

It is kinda like watchin' tv. If you don't like what's on that channel, then change it, if its all crap, turn it off. You have a choice, here, too. Read, become curious enough to do more research yourself, or simply dismiss it and move on to the next post.
