Electrical glitch-- S90-V90

2 years have past since I slamed a deer head on on my 960--took out my passengers side headlight-I just replaced the bulb for the secound time and had to replace the bulb plug as well (dim light not the high beam)the plug had melted some what so I replaced it-been around a month back-now the new plug is melted from by what I can tell, the black wire is really cooking this thing,
Any clue anybody about whats going on here. When I replasced the bulb I crimped the wires with the right tools and crimping parts, but the ground wire here is drawing a lot of heat some how, hot wire is OK.
All help appreaciated
