My 1979 Volvo 242 GT took a turn for the worst this week when the oil pump stopped working and caused damage to the engine. Sounds like a bad rocker arm or worn cam. Happened very suddenly and wasn't driven very far after noise started, under a mile probably. Thought I'd see if anyone is interested in buying it before I junk it or roll it off the nearest cliff. I just can't afford to fix it. It's actually pretty clean inside and out. Odometer is around 203,000 and I haven't had to do any major work on it other than replace the motor mounts.
