Another PNP switch ques 900 1995

I've read all the posts about PNP switch failures. Here's a symptom I've not read about before. I have intermittent PNP problems that I've cleared by moving the shifter about 20 times. Recently, I've noticed that the fault occurs (arrow comes on, E W blinks) when I open either the drivers door or the tailgate, with the engines running. When that occurs, the system will not reset until the cars sits for about one hour.

Is this just another symptom of a bad PNP switch?
