92 940 GL dead spot 900 1992

Hi all,

Ever since we've had the car (bought 77,000 miles - now 156,000) It has had a dead spot from idle to about 2000 rpm. The car does accelerate however it picks up a lot more going into 2100 rpm and up. Its an automatic.

We have done a throttle body cleaning, a timing belt(twice- once when bought and jsut recently), new in tank fuel pump, cleaned out flame trap and checked for vacuum leaks. The microswitch on the throttle body sounds likes its operating with a good audible "click."

Could the TPS have a growing dead spot in it? I know the timing is right.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Adrian
