Trans Line 'eaten' by exhaust 200

Hello,

just wanted to know if anybody had this happen,

my car began smoking while on the freeway, i looked quick and smelled trans fluid, looked at the locations and it was dripping about where the engine and trans meet, so i thought the trans front seal. then drove home with a smoke screen behind me, lifted and looked deeper. well it turned out that the transmission cooler lie was rubbing on the exhaust and over the years the exhaust ate the line.

i went to the junkyard and on newer 240s the lines totally avoid going next to the exhaust.

so, chack your trans lines and if they are too close to the exhaust manifold check for line wear, the trans lines might give any time.

this was a 240 community service from CHRGERUCD
