What is the best way to diagnose if the clunking I am hearing is the ball joints? the car failed the first inspection that I put it through 2 years ago for bad ball joints...i did not repair them however, but rather found a more lienient inspector...I am getting a clunk whenever the front suspension extends or compresses...such as excelleration, but more prominently on braking...also when i go over the speed bumps in my parking garage i get a clunk...i am pretty sure this is the issue, but i am not that familiar with volvo stearing/suspension set-ups....is there a quick check aka no jacking required?
