How to replace rear cam/half moon seal 200 1987

So something is leaking from the back of my engine. I plan on replacing both the cam plug and half moon seal. Is there a special process for this other than pulling off the valve cover, replacing the plugs and valve cover gasket, and replacing the cover?

oh, and an oil change.
