fellas:

i just acquired yet another brick. it's in really decent shape @ 155,000 miles. of course there are little things that need attention and since i'm not that familiar with the 700s (my other brick is an 83 240), i would like to solicit some help from my fellow bricksters. so, here it goes:

- gas gauge does not work, but the idiot lite within the gauge is on. po said he had the fuel pump replaced. i wonder if it was the in-tank pump and possibly got the float messed up. what do you all think?

- big clock, dome lite, glove box lite didn't work. found that fuse 5 was blown, replaced that. blew the fuse again when i worked the dome lite switches trying to figure out how to set it to come on when doors are open. some kind of short around the dome lite? btw, the after market radio is also on this circuit.

- po claims the ac does not work because of a bad clutch. how do i confirm? can that be replaced without taking the compressor out.

- lastly, it's almost the cooler months here in the pacific nw. the bunwarmers (heated seats) does not work. relay perhaps? where exacly is that one.

i guess my first step would be to get a book for this car, is there a bentley book for this one?
