960 trans. light 900 1992

92 960. ok so i go to start my car today, and my trans. shift light on the dash (arrow) and my shift mode lights on the shifter are blinking. yesterday i drove the car and it seemed to shift funny. today i drive it and it shifts fine but these lights are blinking. has anyone experienced this? any tips or suggestions appreciated
