Hi,
The 940 ('96 model 2.3 940 SE turbo wagon, M90 gearbox) is going to work again Sunday after resting for most of the summer. It's had a bit of attention in that time. I've put in new EBC green stuff front brake pads, new front hubs (850 style plain bearings) and treated it to a set of Bilstein sports and new rear springs. Goodbye Nivomats.
Sunday I'm taking the ferry from Portsmouth to Le Havre, then across France, passing into Germany north of Switzerland. Through southern Germany, to the north of Munich, to near the Czech border, then south into Austria, to Vienna down to Graz back into Germany and all the way up central Germany. I go near Berlin, then to Hamburg and then within a few miles of the Danish border. Back down, into Holland, near Amsterdam down to Belgium, quick visit to Luxemburg, into France to Calais and home. Should be a good trip.
I reckon it's just a bit too early for her to be wearing winter tyres, and hope I don't come to regret that! Saturday she gets a look over and an oil change. Four weeks later we'll be home again.
Regards
Pete
