Hello, my timing belt is due for replacing and I know it is common practice to change the front oil seals at the same time. The car is at 288 000 km and I don't know when the seals or belt were done last, but not in the last 100 000 km.
I can find no signs of oil leakage at the seals, and have read of some problems of leaks after installing a seal that was flipped, mis-aligned etc.
I'm wondering now if I should leave well enough alone and just keep an eye on them for leaks, and due the belt only.
