The bumper covers on my folks 740 sedan are looking very scabby as you can see from the pics. We are planning to repair/repaint them. The light grey (the stuff that's peeling off) was obviously put on by someone who didn't know what they were doing (no it wasn't me!). We only want to have to do this job once. I know about using plastic primer all that but I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a specific colour code for the bumpers. We were just going to try taking the car to one of the local paint shops and seeing if we could match it against samples but if there is a code it would make things easier. The bumpers spoil what is otherwise an immaculate car.
