uneven idle grrrrrrrr........maybe advance the dizzy? 120-130

Having a problem keeping a smooth idle on my B20 with the Weber DGV. Now, the idle fluctuates between 750-850 RPM (approximately). The mix is perfect, timing at about 13 degrees, fully advances to 34 degrees. No pinging whatsoever. Valves adjusted on the new engine about 500 miles ago.

When I give the car a bit of gas, the RPM's go up, and the idle smooths out it seems.

I don't want to turn in the throttle speed screw on the Weber (to increase the idle speed) any more. If I do that, the throttle plates open up too much, and the engine will continue to run, even if I turn the mixture screw in all the way closed.

So I'm thinking, if I advance the timing a few degrees, that can possibly smooth out the idle. But if I advance the timing to say 15 or 16 degrees, the totally advanced timing will go beyond the 34 degrees, which I'm assuming is the number I should be shooting for.

Can I cause problems for my new engine (now with 650 miles) by increasing the timing, fully advanced, up to 35 or 36 degrees?

Strangely enough, the car idled pretty good on my other distributor, with the faulty limited advance. On that dizzy, I had timing set around 19 degrees, and it fully advanced to about 32 degrees.
