freeze plug replace 89 740 tc 700 1989

I have 1 weepy freze plug on the r/s front of engine,I have the head off the T/C due to a blown head gasket between #2+#3 cylinders.The bores and valves look good at 165k miles,is a head resurface in order or valve job,the engine was doing just fine before hand.Do I need a special tool the install the frezze plug?I have replaced freeze plugs on other vehicles but this is the first time I saw one of this style on my Volvo which has no real cup appearance but a slightly concave looking coin appearance.Any input,great!
