I have a 91 240 5-sp. Daughter drives the car and called to tell me it won't stay running. I drove her to school and when I picked her up from the car, I tested the thing for the usual suspects. Although hard to start, I got it going but reving it was difficult. Let go and it will idle but not rev. I got it to rev after a couple of stalls but once back to idle ...not easy to rev. Plug wires look fine and tight. Disconnected the MAP and it stopped the car. It is a wet day here in Buffalo. I need to go to collect the car but would like a couple of educated (or not) guesses as for what to check. I'm thinking Air Filter or PCV but any advise will be appreciated.
