1982 240 dies at idle or coming to stop.

I have a 82 240 with a B 21 F with CIS and mechanical fule injection.The car will start up and run but after it start to worms up it will die.I can run the car on the road but I have to keep the rmp up to keep it from dieing. I have check the rpm it at 700 to 750.The coolant senor checks good and the air control valve is working.These checks were made with a dealer fult guid check list I have got from volvo. The motor has orginal miles of 60,000. Any help on fixing it would of great help.
