I just replaced my output shaft bushing and for the most part was very studious when going over the FAQ.
I missed, however, the last couple of lines about the hole in the bushing going straight up and NOT lining up with one of the grooves. Unfortunately, the transmission shop where I took it to have the old bushing pressed out and the new one replaced did line the hole up with the lowest groove. I asked about it and he said that was so some fluid COULD get into the bushing and lubricate it.
Is this wrong? What's the result of that hole being lined up? Do I need to redo this whole operation?
Thanks
