Replacing A/C compressor: what to do w/ R134 freon when disconnecting?? 200

Clutch went out on AutoZone compressor...they're going to honor warranty. I'm getting ready to remove compressor......how do I depressurize the system?
(I don't want to get hurt while removing and I don't want to introduce moisture into the system either). The A/C system was converted to R134a about one year ago. Not sure why clutch went bad...but I just want to get back my power steering. As soon as I bolt up the new A/C I can re-install the power steering belt. I'll figure out where to go w/ the whole system this winter.

Anyway...just want to know quickest and safest way to depressurize the system. The Autozone folks are waiting on me to bring the compressor to them.

Thanks,
Cabbie2169
