Hi: I need help please. Have a 1987 245 Volvo wagon. B230F engine. Power steering. Power brakes. Automatic transmission. 200,000 miles. I replaced the 2 rear brake calipers and pads. Also the brake master cylinder. I have done all the bleeding, etc. and still have a brake pedal that will go all the way to the floor. No resistance. This is what I have done so far: 1. Replaced both rear brake calipers and pads. 2. Bench bled and replaced master cylinder. 3. Mounted new master cylinder in car. 4. Bled entire brake system (brake pedal pumping method). 5. Then power bled the entire system. At this point there is still no brake pedal resistance to speak of. 6. Put old master cylinder (known good) back on the car. Still no brake pedal. 7. Put the new master cylinder back on car. 8. Power bled the system a 2nd time. 9. Still no brake pedal. 10. Visually inspect entire brake system and bleeder value for leads. All is OK. 11. When back to store and got another BRAND NEW master cylinder. 12. Bench bled 2nd new master cylinder and mounted it. 13. Power bled system for 3rd time. Still bad brakes! HELP. What is going on here! Any help would be appreciated.
