New air-con compressor - white smoke 900 1993

Initially, air-con was not cold. Now, replaced by a new compressor but produce white smoke with high rpm. Immediately, when the car slows down or at stationary, no white is coming from the air-con vent. Can someone share what is wrong with the air-con system.
