I have posted a question before. I have questions but would also like to introduce myself. My name is Janet. I am married to a truck driver, when he is home he likes to rest by working on motorcycles that he is rebuilding and looking at motorcycle sites on the internet. He also knows nothing about my car with all the sensors and relays on it. He drives a 1964 Chevrolet pickup, which is a lot easier to work on. My car has been broke for 3 weeks going on 4 weeks. I need help. I can't drive his truck because it is a stick shift.
Now for the problem and thanks for the help before. I have put a new MAF Sensor on it, the numbers matched with the one I took off, we also put a new hose that ran from the Maf Sensor to whatever. It went almost 6 miles and started loosing power, made it to the driveway and it stalled. Started right back up and got into my parking place, turned it off and it would not start again. When it was loosing power it would loose power and then go again and a few seconds later it would loose power again. We checked the EGR and it seems fine. We took out the relay for the fuel and put it back in and it started right up, but when you drive it, it starts loosing power. I can start it and justlet it run and it will run forever no problem. I have almost a full tank of gas. The oil is fine, it has water and antifreeze, the fuel pump under the car runs. Any ideas or suggestions. I can get my husband to help as long as I can say try this and tell him where the part is at on my car. 1990 volvo automatic, fuel injected, turbo. I also need to know if I can buy something to clean my injectors???Thanks Janet
