My 1992 240 sometimes will not start and it doesn't matter if she is cold or hot. My solution has been (when she doen't start the first time) to start her with one foot on the gas and the other on the brakes, put her in reverse and right away back into park and she idles perfectly. This works every time. I drive her around all day for work and know her very well. I am thinking of selling her, but hate to see her go. She has 245k miles on her(just to give you more info) and runs great.
