Guys:
I need a little help here: My windshield wipers turn "ON" when I turn the key switch. Now this just happened! I mean to say that this happened without doing anything to the car. (A little history) Two weeks ago the wiper motor stopped working in the middle of a cold drizzle. So, I replaced it(wiper motor) as a whole unit(motor and gear) and everything worked as well as before the breakdown; now 14 days latter the wipers have a mind of their own.

I have power(12v)at the brown wire and also(12v)on the yellow wire into the wiper motor (the other two wires '0'), I also have 'NO' control over stopping the wipers but can shut the car'OFF'which stop's them in the middle of a cycle. When I use the switch I can get two speed's but no "Interval" motion whatso ever. Also I have "NO" wiper movement at the back of the wagon; (all this worked before). In my hunt for a "fix" I found a relay connector(plug)(no relay)that is maked as 1/2/3/4/5/on the plug and not the usual #85/86/87/30 this I found behind the instrument panel and it was hanging down around the steering column. What would this be use for?

If anyone has had this happen to them and they can steer me in the right direction, well I'm all ears.(as my butt is sore from kicking it)

PS :
Can someone tell me where the "INTERVAL RELAY is located on a "1990 245dl" as I think it maybe a place to check!
