Help! My '91 240 is stalling intermittently. I think the problem is fuel but it's hard to say for sure. It always seems to happen on a dark road when I'm by myself so it's hard to check for spark or listen to fuel pumps run without someone there to help. The one time I caught it long enough to diagnose, I sprayed ether in it and it fired up immediately. Could have been coincidence though. It restarts eventually, but only after a lot of cranking. I have replaced the AMM, fuel pump relay, out of tank fuel pump, fuel filter, and cleaned the screen on the in-tank-pump. I also cleaned/tightened the fuel pump fuses on the driver's side fuse panel(inside the car). I'm about to send it to the boneyard as I can't put much more money into it and I can no longer trust it! Could the pressure regulator do this? Does my car have the 25amp fuse I see in other threads? I don't see it under the hood. Any ideas are appreciated!
