my '87 245 is a b230f with lh 2.2. compression is 180-185 across all cylinders. it has a K&N drop in filter, a VX3 camshaft, and an IPD sport exhaust system. the car runs smooth and gets 30mpg with the auto tranny(crazy i know).

but for some reason, i can hardly pull on my friends car with a stock b230f 240. it just doesn't feel as fast as it should. sometimes there are hesitations when it warms up but thats about it. what should i check?? is the VX3 really 3 degrees retarded and not advanced? that could be it.
