front end groan/clunk 200 1986

I have posted several messages regarding some front end issues that I am having with the old brick. I seem to get a bit of a clunk when the suspension compresses or extends under normal driving conditions. I am also experiencing a groan when I exit the car (aka unload my 175lbs of weight). Suspecting ball joint failure I jacked up the car yesterday and placed a pry bar between the ball joints on both sides and was unable to get any appreciable movement...with considerable force I might add. I next lowered the car and crawled under to look at the bushings all around. again, nothing of note. so i began sort of bench pressing the core support to get the car rocking a bit to detect where the goans and knocks could be coming from...the only thing i can tell is that it is the passenger's side and seems to be the bushing where the lower control arm has its forward mount, under the crossmember. Also of note is that the struts on this particular car seem quite worn, but there is no leakage detectable. Have any of you had issues similar to this? my rear is sagging a bit too, so this may be contributing to the issues. at this point, short of a full front end kit i don't know where to go next.
